Ormai sarò alla ventesima installazione della Beta 2 di SharePoint 2010 e ogni volta ne trovo una nuova.. chiavi di registro da cancellare, file di configurazione da modificare, hotifix, ecc..
Vi riporto un breve elenco di quello che potete trovarvi di fronte quando installate la beta 2 di SharePoint 2010.
Il primo errore, l'ho segnalato in un precedente post e risponde al messaggio:
Failed to create sample Data.
An exception of type Microsoft.Office.Server.UserProfiles.UserProfileException was thrown. Addictional exception information: Unrecognized attribute 'allowInsecureTransport'. Note that attribute names are case-sensitive (C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extentions\14\WebClients\Profile\client.config line 56)

La soluzione la trovate qua.
Il secondo invece, riporta questa dicitura:

Per risolvere questo errore è necessario scaricare ed installare un hotfix. Ecco i link:

Poi, questo il terzo:

Per risolverlo è necessario semplicemente modificare l'ACL della "SharePoint root" (la cartella "14" per intenderci), aggiungere l'utente Network Service ed assegnargli i permessi di Full Control.
Il quarto invece:

Per risolverlo, prima di tutto, dobbiamo controllare i valori di queste due chiavi di registro:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\UpdateExeVolatile
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\PendingFileRenameOperations
il valore della prima chiave DEVE essere 0. mentre la seconda chiave DEVE essere cancellata.
